My name is Marcia Benaduce. I have a master's degree in geography and a degree in Spanish. I'm starting a new master's degree and I intend to research comparative literature, intertwining Portuguese and Spanish works and seeking to critically understand the discourse present in them, in a decolonial perspective. I work as a geography teacher in basic education, in a public school in the city of Santa Maria-RS, Brazil, where I live. As a researcher, I have very broad interests, which include international issues, especially with regard to political and economic issues related to the environment. Over the last year, studying these topics, I have constantly come across discussions about China's increasingly hegemonic role in today's world. I believe that getting closer to this knowledge and helping to build it is something very important.
