Event to strengthen the debate about the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China.
As the 2024 season of events of the Observa China 观中国 Workgroup for China-Brazil Relations and Lusophony comes to an end, we have the honour of organising a Panel of excellence and hosting four prominent speakers, with extensive experience when it comes to the Sino-Brazilian relationship: Carlos Renato Ungaretti (IPEA and Observa China 观中国), José Roberto de Andrade Filho (Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Maria Elena Rodriguez (IRI/PUC-Rio and BRICS Policy Center), and Mayara Araujo (UFF). Pedro Steenhagen (Fudan University 复旦大学 and Observa China 观中国) will be responsible for the moderation.
This is an event not to be missed and is open to all interested people, whether they are professionals, academics or not, already part of the world related to China, or students and people in general who wish to deepen their knowledge of the topics covered. The event will be broadcast live on our YouTube channel, and the Panel will allow the speakers to discuss the current state of Sino-Brazilian relations and reflect on the future of this global strategic partnership, focusing on some key areas, such as culture, media, regional integration, global governance, trade and investment, geopolitics, sustainable development, and technology. The meeting will be held entirely in Portuguese.
Observa China 观中国 Panel is an exclusive event format organized by Observa China 观中国, which brings together prominent experts and academics to participate in an in-depth debate on a common topic related to China.
