Holds a Doctoral degree in Public Policies from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), with a focus on the politics, political economy and geopolitical implications of football in China, as well as a Bachelor of Laws from the Catholic University of Pernambuco and a Bachelor in Social Communication - Journalism - from the University Centre Maurício de Nassau. His most recent professional experience was as Associate Researcher of the International College of Football, Tongji University, China, between January 2023 and January 2024. He was a Post-Doc Researcher in Chinese Studies at the Department of Languages and Culture, University of Aveiro (DLC-UA) between September 2023 and January 2023. Author of books including “China, Football and Development: Socialism and Soft Power” (2024, Routledge, ISBN 9781032511160) and of many articles and book chapters dealing with Chinese Studies.
